Claude G. Smith Jr. was called into ministry after a transformative spiritual experience in 2019, when he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit at Winners Chapel, Sierra Leone. This powerful encounter marked the beginning of his deepened faith journey. Soon after, Claude enrolled in the Bible Correspondence Course (BCC) at the same location, where he furthered his understanding of God’s word and spiritual purpose.

From 2021 through March 2024, Claude dedicated himself to serving in various ministries, assisting in their growth and supporting the establishment of new ones. His passion for kingdom work led him to become a vital part of several ministry projects, contributing both in leadership and practical roles.

In the latter part of May through June 2024, Claude entered a significant spiritual season—a month-long period of fasting and seeking God’s guidance. It was during this time of intense prayer and reflection that Claude received clear confirmation of God’s calling to step into full-time ministry. This profound moment of revelation led him to accept the divine invitation and move forward with a bold step of faith.

Responding to God’s call, Claude founded the ministry known as City of the Living God International Ministers, inspired by the powerful words of Hebrews 12:22, which speaks of the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of God, where believers are brought near to God’s presence. The vision for this ministry is to reach and impact lives, bringing people into a deeper relationship with God and helping them walk in the fullness of their spiritual calling.
